The group is lucky to have the services of Michelle, she visits the Bury group twice a month, Sudbury Group and Thetford groups once per month.
She offers Reflexology or Aromatherapy which is free to members. James and Susan, who are members of the group will, if asked, give healing either Spiritual or Reiki
They are practitioners with Suffolk Healers and have been healing for nearly thirty Years.
Reflexology, treatment is to the hands or feet, to enable the body to heal itself. Through illness, stress or disease
the body becomes imbalanced, with blocked energy pathways, preventing it from functioning effectively.
Reflexology is used to restore and maintain the body's natural equilibrium and promote self-healing. The reflexologist will just use their hands to apply gentle pressure to the feet or hands.
Their sensitive hands have been trained to detect the imbalances and by working on these points can release the blockages, to restore the free flow of energy to the whole body.
Aromatherapy, a caring and 'hands on' therapy, using essential oils and gentle massage to induce relaxation,
increase energy levels and restore the natural balance to the mind body and spirit. The differences between a Reiki and Spiritual Healing are that the healer tends to be more involved in the healing in Reiki than in Spiritual Healing.
In spiritual healing the healer attains a passive mode where they let the healing energies go to the places where they are needed. In Reiki the healer thinks about they energies
and what vibration to use for this or that condition.
The spiritual healer tends to think the energies are directed by an intelligence that is called many different things from God to Universal Energy Source.
In Reiki the healer uses visulisation to see a representation of the different energies and directs them by visulising this representation on the person receiving healing.
Ann Moulding was Michelles predecessor. During her time as our therapist she organised the purchase of a couch for the group
The instructions for use of the couch can be seen in the members area
