Breast Surgery

Breast Surgery can range from a masectomy (the whole breast is removed) to the cancer and a small area of tissue around the cancer being removed. Women react to these procedures in many different ways and deal with the after effects in an individualistic way.

Most Women feel no pain, some do

Usually women feel no pain after surgery but an unfortunate few do, this affects about 1 in 200 women. Normal painkillers do not usually help what can help some women who experience pain are mild drugs used to control nerve afflictions such a a nervous tick. Some doctors are still surprised when women complain of pain. There are studies to show how many women are affected.
